Initially, when Mandai became a member of the organization, she was involved in a program that aimed at sterilizing stray dogs.
Although the animals under their care are not technically rescued, they still receive essential services such as free sterilisation, medical attention, and sustenance. However, the team felt the need to provide more assistance for one of their charges, who was in a delicate state. Abandoning her was never an option considering her dire condition. The bump on Mandai’s nose, which was once insignificant, had enlarged so much that she could no longer consume food or drink properly. Simple tasks have become a challenge for her, putting her life at risk. Her eyes reveal a deep sense of sadness. To address her situation, the crew decided to abduct her and take her to the Animal World Veterinary Clinic, where they administered treatment and conducted various tests to assess her condition.
Animals’ Root Causes reached out on their Facebook page for help in collecting funds to cover the surgery that was inevitable for the furry friend they rescued, Mandai. Sadly, a study published on April 16 revealed that the tumor was aggressive and incurable. The CT scan results indicated that the cancer had spread, making the tumor fatal, and requiring hospice care. Even though the surgery is not possible, Mandai still requires support to pay for her expensive rehabilitation. Thanks to Animals’ Root Causes, Mandai is now stronger than before when she was wandering the streets, weak and helpless.
