Mystical is an ongoing photography project created by Neil Burnell, an artist based in Brixham, United Kingdom. The series aims to capture the enchanting beauty of mossy and foggy forests in Wistman’s Wood, located in Dartmoor, Devon, England.
The incredible Mystical project was initiated eight years ago and since then, Neil Burpell has been sharing some truly fantastic photographs capturing landscapes filled with a magical ambiance. Mystical is an ongoing photographic project that has been carried out in Wistman’s Wood over the past five years. This series portrays the fairytale-like atmosphere created by the thick fog, gnarled trees, and moss-covered stones of Wistman’s Wood located in Dartmoor, Devon, England.
Over the past few years, my frequent visits to the woodland have allowed me to explore every corner of it and access areas rarely seen. Additionally, I have gradually adapted my shooting and processing style to a point where I am now happy to showcase the latest images in the series. Displaying this series was always the ultimate goal for me, and I am now proud to be able to do so with Taylor Jones & Son.
