Left Alone and Struck by a Vehicle, Helpless Dog Awaits Assistance

I received a call asking for my assistance in helping an injured dog that could not stand or walk without collapsing. The dog appeared to be in dire condition, but the cause of the injury was unknown. Upon arriving at the veterinarian’s office, we noticed that the dog was wet, as if he had been in a river or body of water. The vet examined the dog and found that the fever was relatively low, measuring at 37 degrees.

The poor lady is indulging in some fluids but seems quite parched and has a number of injuries. Our trusty vet provided her with some cozy liquids and I’ve got blankets and a thermophore stashed in the car to make her more comfortable.

“I am making sure she stays comfortable. She has caused me emotional pain, but I still want her to survive. It seems like she may have been hit by a car, which could have caused her current condition. To make matters worse, she was even thrown into a river. I am currently staying with her and hoping for a miracle. Her name is Dara, and I humbly request that you keep her in your prayers.”

It was evident that this dog had an owner as she had a collar mark around her neck. It’s disheartening to think that someone could abandon such an elderly dog in such a way. It’s likely that she spent her life on a chain. Thankfully, Dara seemed to be doing a bit better and was able to eat and drink. I’m relieved that we were able to find her in time.

It’s been a while, but the good news is that she’s showing a bit of improvement – wagging her tail and taking short walks on her own. However, the tests showed that there’s water in her lungs and around her heart. Due to dehydration, she can’t receive an IV, which would further strain her lungs and potentially lead to her passing away.

After undergoing several treatment sessions, Dara’s health has significantly improved. I am showering her with all the love and care she needs along with expert veterinary care, which is helping her get better every day.
