“Locked in a Tree: Witnessing a Heartfelt Moment of Vulnerability”

As per the update from Dublin Shelter at 9:00 PM on November 1st, Emerson Jarude was en route to rescue Blackie when a woman who had recently bought a new house discovered him. Reiki, Blackie’s sister, was taken aback to see a human again. The lady informed that the house had been vacant for a month and thus, Blackie and Reiki had been stuck inside for that long.

The rescuer shared that upon their first encounter with Blackie, they were deeply saddened by the state the poor dog was in. His bony frame was so emaciated that his bones seemed to be protruding through his skin, and he was unable to move much due to being chained to a tree. It was a wonder how he managed to survive for so long, as he had attempted to escape and ended up injuring himself in the process.

The furry creatures were brought to the veterinary clinic for treatment. Blackie’s condition was critical that he required a blood transfusion. In addition to his malnourishment, he was also infested with ticks and fleas.

Reiki is doing much better now, but she just needs to focus on getting enough food and nutrition. The following day, all of the animals were able to go home with temporary foster caretakers. Blackie spent the entire day eating.

Seven days later, Blackie was still looking thin, but once a month had passed, he had transformed into the most stunning dog you’ve ever seen. It was truly amazing to witness such a remarkable change. Don’t forget to share this with your loved ones!
