Once, a fellow resident approached us with a concerning report about a lady who was trading her beloved pets for sustenance. It was discovered that she resorted to this drastic measure as her partner was sick, and she had no other means of providing food for him. Upon arriving at her residence, we found several barns that were secured with padlocks. Upon opening them, we were confronted with an assortment of dogs of various proportions.
While chatting with the lady, she introduced us to the possibility of buying some incredibly cute puppies. However, we couldn’t help but notice that the sweet pups weren’t being treated well. They were frolicking around in the dirt and tied up, eagerly anticipating new owners. It broke our hearts to see them in such a sad state, so we made the choice to rescue them.
Sadly, the bigger dogs that were left had already been sold, making it impossible for us to save them. It was devastating to know that they would be handed over to dog traders who would take them to a place where they would be killed.
With heavy hearts, we said goodbye to the two tiny puppies that we had rescued. They were so innocent and in need of a safe and secure environment. We were determined to find them a permanent home where they could be loved and cared for.
