Luckily, a cat residing in a sewer pipe displayed boldness by approaching a family, granting her kittens a chance to survive. Jamie Myers, who hails from Spokane, Washington, was on a camping trip with his loved ones when they observed something peculiar. While walking, his daughter saw a tiny feline that was strolling straight through the pipe and under the highway.
Jamie’s family, who are passionate about animals and volunteer as foster parents, decided to search for the lost kitten immediately. According to Jamie, they sprang out of their RV and rushed back to where they had entered the area to locate the elusive feline. After scanning the surroundings, they spotted a drainage pipe a few hundred meters away and noticed two bright eyes peering at them from inside.
It was clear that the pipe was not a suitable hideout for the stray animal. The compassionate duo, Jamie and her daughter, took it upon themselves to rescue the feline. They offered it some tasty morsels which the cat happily gobbled up in no time.
Jamie remarked that the rescue they conducted was perhaps the simplest one they have ever done. They simply left a small can of food outside, and the animal immediately emerged to eat it. It was apparent how hungry and emaciated the animal was, but it also revealed its beauty. Soon after, the family discovered that the animal was carrying a miracle inside its belly despite its thinness and weak appearance.
The cute little animal decided to stick with the family during their stay at the campsite out of the goodness of her heart. She felt grateful and wanted to be close to them. According to James, they agreed to bring her to their RV, where she stayed for the weekend. She didn’t hesitate to snuggle up with them on the bed or couch, and it seemed like she genuinely appreciated being rescued.
The possibility of the kitten being abandoned in the drain seemed high since nobody came forward to claim her, and there was a chance she had been dwelling there for an extended period. Luckily, things were about to take a turn for the better as Jamie’s family took her home after picking her up from camp.
In the succeeding days, Caki the cat settled comfortably into her temporary abode under Jamie’s care and showed remarkable improvement. Caki grew fond of Jamie’s daughter and lavished her with numerous cuddles, allowing her to live a worry-free life full of happiness.

After bringing Caki to her new home, she opened up to us and entrusted us with six more babies. It has been a source of great happiness for our family to provide a safe, loving, and happy environment for them to grow in. As Caki had trouble producing enough milk, we have been helping her by bottle-feeding the little ones throughout the day.
After getting the proper nourishment and stability, Caki took complete responsibility for nursing and caring for all of her babies. She proved to be an exceptional mother who kept a close eye on her children’s whereabouts and needs. Moreover, she engaged in meaningful conversations with them, displaying her deep commitment towards parenting. Jaime acknowledged her exceptional motherhood skills, highlighting her attentiveness and communication with her kids.
Caki imparted valuable life lessons to her kittens, showing them how to eat and drink like a pro. She was always there for them, showering them with love and giving them regular baths. Thanks to her attentive care, the kittens grew and flourished. Eventually, they reached an age where they could be adopted, and it didn’t take long for them to find loving families who would cherish them forever.
Jamie mentioned that our veterinarian has taken care of two of these offspring. It would be great if we could find a forever home for this amazing mother soon. Caki had a tough time when she was found, but she fought hard to stay alive and keep her babies safe.
Thankfully, at present, she is a contented, robust, lively, and fond of cuddles feline. She has flourished beyond belief and is now seeking a forever home with a caring family. According to Jamie, “We initially saved Caki’s life when we rescued her, but little did we know that we would be blessed with seven more lives as a result.”
Caki is eager to find a new home and be adopted promptly. Undoubtedly, Jamie and her family made a positive impact on the well-being of Caki and her adorable kittens.
